Soso welcomes JC Nesci

We are happy to welcome the newest member of the Sosolimited team, JC Nesci!

Hailing from Montreal, JC is a designer/coder who’s work deals with creating participatory experiences, through event design and interactive installations. From high school to university, driven by his curiosity JC jumped between disciplines, his interests moving from traditional art training to computer science and design. He picked up a bachelor’s in Computer Science & Computation Arts at Concordia University and recently graduated from Event Design at UQAM, in Montreal. Among other things, he’s built a christmas tree that tells stories of holiday celebrations; an outdoor university classroom with a mobile sharing platform to spread life lessons; and bird houses in parks that gather and disseminate your most precious secrets to one and all.

Happy Hour Interactive Posters

Our San Diego studio hosted the monthly UX Speakeasy meetup on Oct. 2nd, where Justin showed some Soso work, and talked a bit about physical UX design.

During the evening, attendees were encouraged to take poster-based surveys, by placing colored dots on big printed infographics. Here are the results, all cleaned up and digitized.

Back from EyeO

The whole Soso crew was out in Minneapolis for the EyeO festival last week. We held a workshop, gave a talk, and launched our new YouTube remix project, Semantic Sabotage. It was an inspiring and refreshing week of talks and ideas, and a rare chance to hang with the brightest minds—and the biggest hearts—in our field.

We got to see talks by Ben Rubin, Ben Fry, Bill Atkinson, Giorgia Lupi, Golan Levin, Stefanie Posavec, Karsten Schmidt, Kyle McDonald, Zach Lieberman, Paola Antonelli, Jake Barton, and Rafael Lozano-Hemmer. And there were so many more we wished we could have caught. (They will all be up on Vimeo soon enough).
