Soso Welcomes Sam Kronick!

This week we are excited to welcome Sam Kronick, the newest member of Sosolimited. Sam is here in Boston getting caught up with the team before he heads back to San Diego where he’ll be working with Justin in the soon-to-be Soso west coast studio. Sam is an MIT alum and current UCSD MFA student, who, among other things, has built a house that walks, a non-game for exploring generative suburban sprawl, and an iPad app for enjoying instant immersive meditative hyper-rationalized gridded space. If any of that left you saying whaat? then you should look him up and watch out for his influence on upcoming Soso projects!

From Tweets to Lightshow

The team is about to hop on a plane, heading to London for the Olympics. We will be performing a lightshow every night during the Games on the EDF Energy London Eye, and the sequencing of the visuals will be based on that day’s UK Twitter traffic.

Afterwork Excursions into Dance & Film

For the last two weeks, I’ve been leaving work from Soso each evening to lurk around the overgrown grounds of an abandoned house. If people lived in this abandoned house, they would be my neighbors. Half of the windows in my house face the abandoned house and I’ve gazed out onto it for many hours since I moved into my place three years ago. In the spring and summer months, it becomes a lush sanctuary for colorful birds and pooping dogs. So when the time came to find a set on which to shoot a dance film, the abandoned house came quickly to mind.
